The three Utah areas of the Church will present a special Latino youth event titled “Juventud de la promesa” (“Children of the Promise”) in the Conference Center in Salt Lake City on Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24.

The program will also feature a 364-voice youth choir, musicians playing traditional instruments, and dancers performing a variety of dances from Latin America. There will also be a Sunday evening devotional on October 25.

The Latino Executive Committee will work with bishops and branch presidents of Spanish- and Portuguese-language wards and branches to assign a Latino Youth Event representative to each unit. This representative will coordinate the planned activities, work with unit leaders to encourage maximum youth participation, assist with auditions and ticketing, and help organize a youth audience participation number during the program.

Youth and young single adults from 12 to 30 years old are invited to audition by scheduling an appointment at ChurchofJesusChrist.org/go/audiciones. We are looking for musicians of all types, singers, dancers, and general cast members.

The auditions will be:

Saturday, May 9, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 16, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 23, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

All auditions will be held in the Murray Utah Stake Center at 160 East 4600 South, Murray, Utah 84107.
