  • 11 July 2019

Sister Susan K. Bednar and Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles will speak during the RootsTech London family history conference on Saturday, October 26, 2019.

The first-ever RootsTech London family history conference, held October 24-26, will include an evening with Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Sister Susan K. Bednar, on Saturday, October 26.

For those unable to attend, Elder and Sister Bednar’s comments will be streamed live at ChurchofJesusChrist.org/broadcasts/europe-area-broadcasts.

The event in London is part of several experiences specifically for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during an afternoon of inspiration, learning, and celebration at the ExCel Convention Center. These free activities meant to help individuals and families discover, gather, and connect family relationships include:

  • An evening with Elder and Sister Bednar at 5:30 p.m. (London time)
  • Access to the interactive exhibition hall where attendees can see what’s new in the family history industry and test out the latest technology.
  • Select sessions designed to teach the basics of familysearch.org.
  • Fun, interactive activities for families and children of all ages geared to help attendees discover and celebrate family traditions.

Interest in the RootsTech conference in the United States has been growing steadily since its launch in 2011. More than 17,000 guests from every state and 47 countries gathered at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, and more than 111,000 tuned in via the internet for RootsTech 2018.
