For the first time, the Church is inviting members to submit video and other content showing their participation in general conference.

Article Highlights

  • The Church is seeking video clips of members preparing for, traveling to, and participating in conference.
  • The deadline to submit videos is November 1, 2011.

Every six months, millions of people gather in groups large and small around the world to listen to the words of living prophets and apostles.

This October, members are invited to share what general conference means to them by submitting videos of their October 2011 conference experience. Submissions will be considered for use in other Church social media efforts.

Participants are encouraged to submit videos that portray their general conference experience. These clips should show how members prepare for, travel to, and are inspired by general conference. The clips are meant to show each individuals' experience through video as opposed to having members speak about their experience.

Participants are encouraged to use the best quality video equipment available to them, but video from any recording device is acceptable. Short clips, 5 to 10 seconds, are preferred to longer ones.

The Church’s Media Services Department is accepting submissions through November 1 via YouTube and Vimeo, DigiDelivery, CD and DVD, and e-mail.

Directions on filming and submitting videos are located at create.ChurchofJesusChrist.org/come-listen.
