You may request copies of patriarchal blessings for:
- Yourself
- Your spouse
- A direct line descendant
- A deceased direct line ancestor
To request copies:
- Provide blessing recipient's name as it appears on blessing.
- Provide birth date of blessing recipient.
- Provide, if known, name of patriarch giving blessing and stake in which the blessing was received.
- Provide the approximate year the blessing was given.
- Indicate your relationship to recipient.
To order copies:
- Either come to Church History Library or mail request to:

- All responses to copy requests are handled by return mail
- In order to efficiently process requests in a timely manner, we ask that you limit your requests to four copies.
- Due to the high volume of requests, priority is given to blessings for living individuals. These will be handled within 30 days. Requests for blessings for the deceased take longer and will be processed in order received.
