Let the Church History Museum be a resource to prepare your youth and adults for a more meaningful trek experience. Pioneers were real people with hopes and dreams of their own, yet they left their homelands and ventured into the unknown. Using artifacts and stories, museum docents will help youth discover more about these pioneers, the reasons they came, and the lessons they taught that still speak to us today.
These tours highlight the pioneers’ trek westward and the handcart experience. Participants can pull a handcart and learn about the items that may have been packed into a handcart. Some evenings offer pioneer-period dancing accompanied by a banjo or fiddle, or even a special pioneer visitor from the past.
Although tours are free, they must be scheduled in advance. Call 801-240-4615. |
