Kersten, her husband Marcus Ericksen and mother, Mette Kjesten Nielsen, initially started with the 1857 Christen Christiansen company and are listed on that roster, but they stayed in Florence for one year and came in the 1858 Iversen Company. She is listed on the Iversen roster as K. Eriksen. Her daughter, Kersten Erickson continued with the 1857 Christian Christiansen company.
