He initially joined the 1857 Christian Christiansen Company with his wife Kersten Christensen Ericksen and his mother–in–law, Mette Kjesten Kielsen and are shown on that roster, but he, his wife and her mother left the company at Florence and came in the 1858 Iver Iversen Company. Their daughter, Kersten, continued with the 1857 Chritian Christiansen Company.
