Early Photographs of Church Headquarters, 1853–1941
Salt Lake TabernacleThis is an exhibit of 51 historical photographs, taken between 1853 and 1941, that record the buildings referred to as Church Headquarters on the central blocks of Salt Lake City. This unique collection of large, high-resolution digitally printed photographs has been produced from the original glass-plate negatives, allowing great detail and image quality to be captured. Visitors will be able to experience Church architecture within their various settings in Old Salt Lake City. The work of Charles William Carter (1832-1918), who photographed pioneer life in Utah, is featured, together with the photographs of Harry Shipler (1878-1961), who captured images of the early 20th century Church.

Something Extraordinary
Emma SmithAt the founding meeting of the Female Relief Society of Nauvoo on March 17, 1842 Emma Smith declared, as recorded in the original Relief Society minute book, We are going to do something EXTRAORDINARY. Since that time Latter-day Saint women have been involved in ordinary, extraordinary activities and events, the sum of which have and are creating a remarkable legacy of sisterhood, service, and expanding opportunities, especially for women, all within a framework of covenants.

Eliza SnowThis exhibit will highlight a few of the ideas from the original Relief Society minute book from Nauvoo. These ideas are further illuminated with artistic and creative expressions by Latter-day Saint women. Literary arts, textile arts, paintings, sculpture, pottery, and photographs all combine to celebrate a sampling of gifts joyously and righteously shared.

The Salt Lake Tabernacle: Gathering the Saints under One Roof
Salt Lake TabernacleThe history of one of the world's most unique buildings, the Tabernacle on Temple Square, is told in this new exhibition. The exhibit opened simultaneously with the rededication of the Tabernacle after renovation. It examines the architectural influences on the Tabernacle's design and construction, displays historical photographs that document the construction progress, pays tribute to the sacrifice and dedication of the pioneer workers, and honors the Church Presidents who have spoken from its pulpits.

I Am A Child of God
"I Am a Child of God", is an interactive exhibit for families. This exhibit is based on the words of the first verse of the song "I Am a Child of God", and is designed to help visitors learn about the Plan of Salvation at a very basic level. Visitors will understand that each earth life has a purpose and that they should strive to learn about and fulfill that purpose. The exhibit is full of interactive elements illuminating these ideas.
