Church-Service Missionary Requirements

Membership: All Church-service missionaries must be members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Temple Worthiness: Church-service missionaries must be worthy to hold a temple recommend, whether they have received their endowment or not.

Health: Church-service missionaries must be physically capable of performing the duties of the specific call.

Financial Circumstances: Church-service missionaries should be capable of supporting themselves financially, thereby allowing them to dedicate committed time to their callings.

Other Considerations: Church-service missionaries will not usually be trained at a missionary training center.

Transportation: Church-service missionaries will provide all of their own transportation.

Living Expenses: Living expenses, including housing and food will be paid by the Church-service missionary.

Health Insurance: Church-service missionaries will provide for all of their own medical expenses.

Dependent Children: Church-service missionary candidates should have no dependent children living at home.
