Article of Faith 6

We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.

Apostles and prophets who lived long ago led the Church and taught people about Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Today prophets and apostles also lead Jesus Christ’s Church. The Church today is organized the same way Jesus organized His Church when He was on the earth. The prophet is the President of the Church and teaches what Heavenly Father and Jesus want us to do. Apostles and other Church leaders help him lead the Church.
