What can you do to help someone for Global Youth Service Day?

I got a stuffed animal bumblebee for my birthday and carried it everywhere. When my parents asked us to donate to families in need, I ran to my room to get that bumblebee. I knew that if I loved it so much, it would definitely bring someone else joy! I want to be a light to others so that they feel our Savior’s love.

A few years ago, a big hurricane created lots of destruction. We were really blessed because we were prepared with food storage and sandbags for our house. We prayed a lot during that time—for our friends, family, and pets. Our house was still standing after the storm, but there was another family whose house was destroyed. So they stayed with us for a month. I was grateful we could help them. We gave thanks to God that we were safe.
