Education helps design student's future

Chelsea Goates, recent graduate of LDS Business College. Chelsea Goates has wanted to be an interior designer for as long as she can remember. But the commitment required to become an interior designer does not pave an easy path to success. "LDS Business College helped me achieve my dream," said Chelsea, "but it has not been easy. To do well in this program takes a passion for design and a lot of hard work."

College Dream Fulfilled by Scholarship

MarkDrennen Growing up in rural Appalachia, Mark Drennen assumed he’d never go to college. Like many families in the area, the Drennens were not able to finance college. Mark had to help support his family by working part-time at the age of 14 and full-time by his 16th birthday. His older brother had to drop out of college to care for his family, so as Mark grew older, he believed a college education was beyond his grasp.

Amram Amram Musungu was raised in a family of 11 in a small village in the East African nation of Kenya. Because of the country's impoverished economy, most children in Kenya have little hope of rising above the circumstances of their family, but with quiet dreams and talents that surpassed his own understanding, Amram envisioned a different future.

Kendra Ridge Kendra Ridge enrolled at LDS Business College (LDSBC) because it seemed to be the right thing to do. She wanted to go to a small, affordable school where she could gain independence, learn life skills, and strengthen her testimony. She is well on her way to accomplishing those goals, plus much more.

Medical Training Opens Borders for International Service

AllisonGardner Allison Gardner graduated from high school with a 4.0 GPA. In addition to many other honors, she was class valedictorian. School had always been easy for her. But years later in 2005 she faced the daunting challenge of enrolling in college to become a medical assistant and competing with students fresh out of high school. She was equal to that challenge.

Design Program Opens Doors for Single Mom

Heather Garcia After becoming a single mother, Heather Garcia has been blessed by attending LDS Business College for interior design. Not only has her hard work led to a job offer, but she has also received a scholarship to help her finish school and give her children a future of hope.
