Okay. We can’t say we love you too many times
In a week-long whirlwind of events crisscrossing Manila,
Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles has been ministering at wheelchair and water tank handovers, assembling and delivering needed supplies with youth and children,
announcing Light the World donations, and teaching at a school, at the Missionary Training Center, and in the temple.
Here is a window into his ministry.
I got out of our van. I walked over to a group of beautiful boys there,
and they all embraced me. It was beautiful.
We give water from a tank, but yet water from a tank is important, is it not? And with the water, our brothers and sisters can drink of the living water of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
I'm a nobody. These are our special guests. These are the people we love. And we thank you for being here today.
Thank you for your courage and for all you have faced in your life. We're very, very proud of you. Those who have cared and watched over others, they will be blessed beyond measure, and those who have suffered here in this life and have taken their cross with dignity and with strength, they will be blessed.
This is our grand-daughter.
How many here have a family? We all have families, don’t we?
And families are so very, very important. And we try to be very nice with our families, right?
What is the name of your school?
The Holy Spirit speaks to our heart, and that Spirit helps us know that this special being, Jesus Christ, is the Son of God.
We try so much to help those who need the blessings that we can give them. We love the members of the Church here in the Philippines, because they are so willing to reach out and help other people.
Hi! We’re so glad you’re here.
Though you’re going through a little bit of a transitional time now as you grow up, to be able to contribute to a family,
love other people, don’t ever forget you are a child of God.
We love you, and we admire you because you are the beautiful people of the world who give of yourself.
There are none better than the good and giving people of the Philippines.
The most important thing you can do as a disciple of Jesus Christ, as a servant of Him, as a missionary of His message, is proclaim and teach who He is and what He can bring.
So good to see you. I'm so happy. Hi.
Harvey. You've been a very brave boy, haven't you?
You've had some special challenges. You face those with courage, and you find ways that the Lord would want you to handle it. And you're able to do that.
Elder Anderson, before you go, do you mind if we can— can we ask a blessing for our son? Sure I’d love to do that. Harvey, would you be willing for
one of the Savior’s Apostles to give you a blessing?
I don't want to ever forget you. Right.
We're seeing in the background the beautiful Alabang temple.
We're going to walk inside where it has not been finished yet.
Everything in here speaks to the power and the truthfulness of the Lord Jesus Christ, because without Him, we wouldn't be able to anticipate all the blessings and power that will come to us because of His divine life.
Let's go into a sealing room.
And here you can be married and you can be sealed together for all eternity.
This is the closest place on Earth where we are almost have one foot on earth and one foot in heaven. We feel the Lord’s presence—
even if it’s not yet done—
I can feel His presence and I could feel peace and comfort.
Elder Andersen will wrap up his nine-day ministry in the Philippines over the weekend with the Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square as their world tour in Manila begins.
