You’re not just living your
life for yourselves,
you’re living your lives
for your posterity.
I'm very excited to see all of you come
to the temple for the first time.
Nice to meet you. We have a group here
from Solomon Islands, Vanuatu.
Raise your hands Vanuatu. And I have
been asked to wear their flag.
Is it good? Okay. And we have a group
here from Papua New Guinea, including 11 prospective missionaries. I’m called to serve in the Marshall
Islands Kiribati mission.
Wonderful. I'm the first in my family to come
to the temple, so no pressure, but I hope I end up being
a legacy one day.
I'm grateful for the Lord for giving me the opportunity with my wife to come
here and prepare ourselves for the ordinance work, and prepare for our
temple back in Papua New Guinea.
Most of you are here as first
or some second generation. My pioneer ancestors joined this Church
so that they could go to the temple and be bound together forever.
That’s why I’m here. We come
for our sealing with my husband.
Your posterity will bless your names for
making these commitments to come and create eternal families.
The feeling is great. Joyful. We are so
blessed to meet with the Apostle. Thanks, everybody.
See you at general conference.
