YOUNG MEN GENERAL PRESIDENCY MESSAGE

As we travel throughout the Church, we are gratified with the efforts of many to implement the Duty to God program to better prepare their young men of the Aaronic Priesthood to receive the Melchizedek Priesthood, to receive the ordinances of the temple, and to serve a full-time mission. We have been particularly thrilled with the efforts of parents who have caught the vision of their role in the Duty to God program and implemented it in their own homes to strengthen their sons. . . .  Read full message.

A notice dated July 1, 2008, announced the Mutual theme for 2009: "Be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity" (1 Timothy 4:12). As they use this theme in instruction and activities, Young Men and Young Women leaders are encouraged to focus on faith in Jesus Christ and the standards in For the Strength of Youth.

Worthy Music, Worthy Thoughts
The Worthy Music, Worthy Thoughts page, just launched on the Church music site, can help youth understand that worthy music will help them avoid temptation, invite uplifting thoughts, and receive the Spirit. The page contains links to a President Packer conference address, questions to consider, testimonials from other youth, selected music, and links to other resources.
