FEATURES April 2008 Stake Auxiliary Leadership Training In connection with the April 2008 general conference, the general auxiliary organizations of the Church will hold training workshops for stake auxiliary leaders. This training replaces the "open houses" of previous years. Please visit the training schedule for additional details. 2008 Worldwide Leadership Training Meeting: Building Up a Righteous Posterity A worldwide leadership training meeting focusing on gospel teaching and learning was broadcast over the Church satellite system on February 9, 2008. Messages from the Sunday School General Presidency The president and counselors in the Sunday School general presidency have recently given messages to members of the Church worldwide. William D. Oswald, second counselor in the presidency, wrote on the subject of "Obedience: The First Law of Heaven" in the January 2008 Ensign. In the October 2007 general conference, Daniel K Judd, first counselor, gave direction for how we can best nourish those we teach and lead (audio, video, text). A. Roger Merrill, Sunday School general president, spoke in October 2006 about the importance not only of teaching by the Spirit but also receiving by the Spirit (audio, video, text). Sunday School Curriculum, 2008 The course of study for Gospel Doctrine in 2008 is the Book of Mormon. Gospel Doctrine teachers and class members can find everything they need to prepare for class on this site, including the scriptures, the teacher's manual, and the class member study guide.
