Roles and Responsibilities

Quorum and group leaders should set an example of assisting others in the process of conversion and helping them remain steadfast in keeping the commandments. Leaders' efforts should be focused on preparing new members to receive the ordinances of the temple.

An important part of this responsibility is ensuring that the doctrines, principles, and blessings relating to missionary work are taught regularly in priesthood meeting and in home teaching visits. Another important part of this work is to help families prepare their sons for missions and encourage couples to prepare to serve missions. This includes encouraging members to give financial support to missionary work.
