Leaders plan and conduct meetings "as they are led by the Holy Ghost, according to the commandments and revelations of God" (D&C 20:45). Depending on the purpose or need of the meeting, leaders can prepare by asking themselves some of the following questions:
- What principles should we discuss or teach?
- What are the needs of the children in our area?
- How can we meet these needs?
- What should be the results of the discussion or teaching?
- What music can we use to invite the Spirit?
Sample agenda for a presidency meeting:
Date: Presiding: (name) Conducting: (name)
- Opening prayer: (name)
- Spiritual thought: (name)

or teachers, planning for upcoming activities, reporting on assignments,
and making new assignments)

Meetings should not be longer or more frequent than needed.
