Public Affairs
Public AffairsWelcome to Public Affairs!

Public affairs serves priesthood leaders by helping them to form meaningful relationships with those who can affect the reputation of the Church, or who can help or hinder the Church in its efforts to bring souls unto Christ.

How the Church is viewed by community leaders, government officials, news media, and other people of influence can directly affect its success.

The pages that follow explain how public affairs serves the worldwide Church. If you are new to public affairs, please refer to the Getting Started section of this site for essential information about your calling. If you are an experienced public affairs council member, use this site to expand your knowledge and effectiveness.

Information found on this site supercedes previous training resources such as the Public Affairs Training Guide.

Mormon Helping Hands
Mormon Helping Hands is a priesthood-directed Church program for providing community service and disaster relief to those in need. This program which is operating successfully in Latin America, Africa, Asia, Europe, the Pacific, and the United States, can also assist priesthood leaders in establishing relationships with key opinion leaders. The new Mormon Helping Hands Guidelines for Public Affairs Directors gives specific directions on how public affairs councils can utilize this important program. Also included are instructions for using the Mormon Helping Hands logo and electronic artwork to simplify the process.
