The stake presidency or an assigned high councilor may call a stake cultural arts director. This director serves under the direction of the stake activities committee chairman. The stake cultural arts director has the following responsibilities:

• Plan and coordinate cultural arts activities. Cultural arts activities provide opportunities to develop talents and interests. They also nurture creativity, confidence, communication, and cooperation. Such activities may include, among other things, music instruction, music festivals, musical productions, and other music events.
• Coordinate schedules, facilities, and equipment for cultural arts activities.
• Supervise and instruct dance, drama, music, and speech specialists and other cultural arts specialists who may be called.
• Attend stake activities committee meetings.
