Primary Music Leader(s) and Pianist(s)


Under the direction of the Primary presidency, the ward Primary music leader(s) and pianist(s) have the following responsibilities:

  • They teach children the gospel of Jesus Christ through music and testimony.
  • They prepare and provide the music for opening or closing exercises and sharing time.
  • As needed, they help with music for class presentations, the nursery class, other Primary classes, and ward Primary leadership meetings.
  • They attend teacher improvement meetings. They also attend stake Primary leadership meetings as invited.
  • As requested, they organize and direct a children's choir.
  • Ward Primary music leaders and pianists may receive help and instruction from the stake Primary music leader and the ward music chairman.
