Overview of Young Women Program

Tools for Young Women Program

Personal Progress: Personal progress is a goal-setting program that helps young women develop a testimony of Jesus Christ and prepare for temple covenants and future responsibilities.

Sunday Instruction: Young women have their own class on Sunday for gospel study. The class is held at the same time that Relief Society and priesthood meetings are held for adults.

Mutual and Other Activities, Camp: Activities provide opportunities for girls to gather for support with others who share their same standards. Young men and young women may meet together for some activities.

For the Strength of Youth: This is a guide given by the First Presidency that presents the standards of the Church and teaches youth how to apply them.

Youth Leadership: Young women may be called to serve in a class presidency. Youth leaders have the responsibility to help other young women in the ward or branch feel welcome and stay active in the Church.

Adult Leaders: Leaders of young women have a vital role in helping them learn the gospel of Jesus Christ and develop testimonies (see Guidebook for Parents and Leaders of Youth [2001], 5–6).
