Standards: For the Strength of Youth

For the Strength of Youth book

"For the Strength of Youth is a guide given by the First Presidency of the Church to young men and young women. It presents the standards of the Church and teaches youth how to apply them" (Guidebook for Parents and Leaders of Youth [2001], 7).

This pamphlet should be given to each young woman and her parents. These standards should be taught and encouraged in Sunday lessons, in activities, and as young women work on Personal Progress (see Guidebook for Parents and Leaders of Youth, 15).

Why is it important to live by the standards found in the "For the Strength of Youth" pamphlet? These two workshops will help you explain to the youth:

  • Why we live by these standards.
  • About agency and consequences.
  • How living standards will bring confidence and happiness.
