The Lord promises those who keep the commandments the help of the Holy Ghost. Keeping Church standards permits the Holy Ghost to be our guide and companion. (See D&C 121:45–46.)

“The Lord sets His standards so that He can bless us.  Think about those blessings: He promises those who meet the standards the help of the Holy Ghost.  He promises personal peace.  He promises the chance to receive holy ordinances in His house. And He promises those who endure in living His standards that they will have eternal life.  They will live in families in the presence of our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son” (Henry B. Activity

1. Look through the For the Strength of Youth  pamphlet. Circle every reference to the Holy Ghost.
2. Share what you find. How many times in For the Strength of Youth are we promised the companionship of the Holy Ghost if we live the standards?
3. Discuss why having the Holy Ghost as a guide and companion is so important.
4. Which pages teach about how to qualify for the Spirit? how to recognize the Spirit? how to allow the Spirit to help you in living the standards?
