Sunday classes, Mutual, and other activities offer abundant leadership opportunities. For example:
- Offering a prayer is a leadership opportunity.
- Giving a talk is a leadership opportunity.
- Leading music is a leadership opportunity.
- "Conducting" pages of Church Music Web site
- Young women may be called to serve as Young Women music directors and pianists. They may help other young women with musical selections and may help them develop their musical abilities. (See "Young Women," section 4 of the Church Handbook of Instructions, Book 2: Priesthood and Auxiliary Leaders [1998], 218.)
- Personal Progress is a valuable resource in teaching leadership qualities and skills. Personal Progress sends young women to the scriptures to find answers to their challenges. You can help young women design their own leadership training program using Personal Progress. For example:
- Problem solving is a leadership skill (see Choice and Accountability Value Experience no. 1 on page 41 of the Personal Progress booklet).
- Being a peacemaker is a leadership skill (see Divine Nature Value Experience no. 7 on page 21 of the Personal Progress booklet).
