Gospel Doctrine teachers: The lessons in the manual contain more information than you will probably be able to teach in one class period. Seek the Spirit of the Lord in selecting the scripture accounts, questions, and other lesson materials that best meet the needs of class members.
Basic Resources
- To read the lesson or to see the class member study guide section for this week, click on the pictures above.
- You can read the assigned scriptures for this week online: Luke 22:1–38; John 13–15.
- The teacher's manual also includes the following scripture passages as additional reading: Matthew 26:1–5, 14–35; Mark 14:1–2, 10–31.
- Would you like to listen to an audio recording of the scriptures in this week's lesson? Try listening to or downloading John 13 (MP3 format), which is in this week's reading. For more New Testament audio, click here.

For suggestions on using pictures in your class, read "Pictures" and "Visuals" in Teaching, No Greater Call, pages 176, 182–83.
Music
The lesson for this week suggests using the hymn "Love One Another" (Hymns, no. 308; see lesson manual, page 94). For information on using music in your class, read "Music" in Teaching, No Greater Call, pages 172–74.
Videos
The lesson manual suggests a video segment you could use as part of your lesson (see lesson manual, page 97). Click the video title below to see a listing for this video in the online Church Distribution Services catalog.
For information on using videos in your class, read "Audiovisual Materials" in Teaching, No Greater Call, page 160.
Suggestion for Teaching
The lesson for this week provides this suggestion for teaching: "Singing or playing a hymn or Primary song related to the topic of the lesson is a good way to invite the Spirit during the lesson. The Lord said, 'My soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads' (D&C 25:12; see also Colossians 3:16). Hymns and Primary songs can also help class members learn the doctrines of the gospel (see Teaching, No Greater Call [36123], pages 45–46, 172–74)" (lesson manual, page 94).
