Teacher Orientation and Ongoing Support

Teacher orientation

Priesthood and auxiliary leaders are responsible for the quality of gospel teaching in their organizations. As a stake or ward Sunday School presidency, have you wondered how to raise the quality of teaching in your Sunday School? One way to help improve the quality of teaching is to conduct a teacher orientation for newly called teachers and to provide ongoing support to all teachers (see Improving Gospel Teaching: A Leader’s Guide [1998], 2).

Through modeling and role-play demonstrations, the presentation below will give ideas for conducting a teacher orientation and providing ongoing teacher support.
