Gospel Doctrine teachers: The lessons in the manual contain more information than you will probably be able to teach in one class period. Seek the Spirit of the Lord in selecting the scripture accounts, questions, and other lesson materials that best meet the needs of class members.
Basic Resources
- To read the lesson or to see the class member study guide section for this week, click on the pictures above.
- You can read the assigned scriptures for this week online: Acts 18:23–20:38; Galatians.
- Would you like to listen to an audio recording of the scriptures in this week's lesson? Try listening to or downloading Acts 19 (MP3 format), which is in this week's reading. For more New Testament audio, click here.
- The official scripture study aids often have helpful information you can use in your lessons. For example, the lesson for this week references the entries for "Holy Ghost" and "Pauline Epistles: Epistle to the Galatians" in the Bible Dictionary (see lesson manual, page 133). The lesson also suggests using a map of Paul's third missionary journey, which is available in the maps section of Latter-day Saint editions of the Bible (map 13 for editions printed in 1999 or later; map 21 in printings before 1999) (see lesson manual, page 133).
Suggestion for Teaching
The lesson for this week provides this suggestion for teaching: "Some of the best stories and examples are those that come out of your own life. Rely on the Spirit to help you know which of your experiences would be appropriate and useful to share with class members (see Teaching, No Greater Call [36123], pages 179–82)" (lesson manual, page 133).
