Media Interviews

Media interviews often are the best way for Church representatives to tell the Church's story. Every Church spokesperson should review this training guide before he or she represents the Church in a media interview. This guide will help you prepare for the interview.

Careful preparation for media interviews is essential. Television and radio interviews do not allow you to edit your message. Once you have made a statement, the journalist can use it as he or she chooses.

Most interviews enable the Church to:

  • Tell its story.
  • Enhance its reputation and credibility.
  • Be transparent.
  • Share specific messages.
