Step 6: Follow Up After the Interview


After the interview, do the following:

  • When appropriate, thank the interviewer, producer, researcher, or others you have been working with. Don't thank them for helping the Church but rather for their courtesy and fairness and for allowing you to reply to the questions.
  • The same day or the next day, express your thanks in writing to the host of the show. It is often a good idea to send a copy of the letter to the station manager or to the host's immediate boss.
  • Thank the members of the Church who participated in the interview, and send copies of letters of thanks to their priesthood leaders.
