Gospel Doctrine teachers: The lessons in the manual contain more information than you will probably be able to teach in one class period. Seek the Spirit of the Lord in selecting the scripture accounts, questions, and other lesson materials that best meet the needs of class members.

For suggestions on using pictures in your class, read "Pictures" and "Visuals" in Teaching, No Greater Call, pages 176, 182–83.

Music

Hymnbook

The lesson for this week suggests using the hymn "Teach Me to Walk in the Light" (Hymns, no. 304, or Children's Songbook, 177) as part of the lesson (see lesson manual, page 184). The lesson manual also suggests choosing a hymn about love from the listing under "Love" in the "Topics" listing of the hymnbook (see lesson manual, page 185). For information on using music in your class, read "Music" in Teaching, No Greater Call, pages 172–74.

Suggestion for Teaching

Teaching, No Greater Call The lesson for this week provides this suggestion for teaching: "As you take time to prepare thoughtfully and prayerfully, you will be blessed with greater understanding. You will be more receptive to the guidance of the Spirit. . . . Remember that in your efforts to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ, it is not enough to simply prepare lessons. You also need to prepare yourself" (Teaching, No Greater Call [36123], 97; lesson manual, page 182).
