Gospel Doctrine teachers: The lessons in the manual contain more information than you will probably be able to teach in one class period. Seek the Spirit of the Lord in selecting the scripture accounts, questions, and other lesson materials that best meet the needs of class members.

Basic Resources

Scriptures
  • To read the lesson or to see the class member study guide section for this week, click on the pictures above.
  • You can read the assigned scriptures for this week online: Revelation 5–6; 19–22.

  • The teacher's manual also includes the following scripture passage as additional reading: Doctrine and Covenants 77.

  • Would you like to listen to an audio recording of the scriptures in this week's lesson? Try listening to or downloading Revelation 20 (MP3 format), which is in this week's reading. For more New Testament audio, click here.
  • The official scripture study aids often have helpful information you can use in your lessons. For example, the lesson for this week references the entry for "Revelation of John" in the Bible Dictionary (see lesson manual, page 192).

Suggestion for Teaching

Teaching, No Greater Call The lesson for this week provides this suggestion for teaching: " 'Above all, the most important preparation is of yourself. Prepare so as to have the influence of the Holy Ghost' (Boyd K. Packer, Teach Ye Diligently [1975], 219). Each of us should be striving to live as the Savior lived and to teach as he taught. Prayerfully consider what you can do to ensure that you are teaching with the influence of the Holy Ghost" (lesson manual, page 192).
