These video presentations provide training for priesthood leaders who oversee family history work and for Church members with family history callings. The presentations have been adapted from the “Training for Family History Leaders” satellite broadcast originally presented on May 4, 2000.

The first five of the video presentations feature instruction provided by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf and discussion with priesthood and family history leaders. The last video presentation, “A Testimony of Temple and Family History Service,” features instruction and testimony by President Henry B. Eyring.

Ways in which priesthood and auxiliary leaders can help consultants be successful are discussed, as well as the importance of providing temple ordinances for ancestors. (running time 9:13)
Family History Center Staff This video presentation will teach you the role of family history centers in making family history resources available to Church members, family history consultants, and community patrons. Ways in which center staff can provide assistance to people who visit the centers and how centers can provide opportunities for sharing the gospel are discussed. (running time 9:22)
A Testimony of Temple and Family History Service This video presentation features instruction and testimony by President Henry B. Eyring on the doctrines of temple and family history work, the gospel of Jesus Christ, the plan of salvation, and the essential role of temple ordinances in the redemption of the dead.
