Organize Details for Relief Society Meetings Held During the Week

Inspiration
Julie B. Beck on focusing the details of Relief Society meetings on preparing for eternal life:
  • Each ward has unique circumstances and needs.
  • Each bishop and Relief Society president are set apart to receive inspiration for their ward.
  • Focus the content of each meeting on assisting sisters in fulfilling their responsibilities.

It may be helpful to use step 2 of the Planning Idea to work out the details for additional Relief Society meetings.

As president you may assign a counselor and a committee to help plan and carry out the meetings.

Plan well in advance.

Organize a children’s class, if needed, so that mothers can attend.

With the approval of the bishopric, the Relief Society presidency can assign others to help with this class.

Use the Church Primary resources to teach the children’s class.
