For sheer delight, take a free one-hour tour of the breathtakingly beautiful gardens surrounding the Church Office Building plaza, the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, the Lion House, and the Beehive House.

Temple Square features world-renowned gardens that include 250 flowerbeds, more than 165,000 bedding plants, and over 700 varieties of plants from all over the world. The design of these gardens varies from formal French parterres to old-fashioned English cottage gardens, giant Victorian flower baskets, and other garden areas featuring drought-tolerant plants native to our western deserts.

In addition to garden tours, you can also enjoy weekly Garden Talks in the Park.
