The First Presidency has announced that the Barranquilla Colombia Temple will be dedicated on Sunday, December 9, 2018.

A free open house will be held from Saturday, November 3, through Saturday, November 24, except for November 4, 11, and 18. Reserve tickets on

Youth are invited to attend a devotional especially for them on Saturday, December 8. Details will be released later for time and location.

The temple will be dedicated the following day on Sunday, December 9, in three sessions at 9:00 a.m., noon, and 3:00 p.m. The dedication will be broadcast to all congregations in Colombia.

The Barranquilla Colombia Temple rises from a hill overlooking the Magdalena River, which is the largest river in Colombia.

This will be Colombia’s second temple. The Bogotá Colombia Temple was dedicated April 24, 1999. Today there are more than 185,000 Latter-day Saints in Colombia.
