May New Era Focuses on Conference Content

The May 2012 issue of the New Era contains a special 18-page “General Conference Is for You” section for youth, highlighting messages from conference with particular applicability for youth as well as quotes from youth about how conference inspired them.
The first three articles focus on excerpts from talks by the members of the First Presidency: the words of President Thomas S. Monson, President Henry B. Eyring’s words on faith, and President Dieter F. Uchtdorf’s talk on kindness.
At the back of the conference section, youth will find new conference cards, a new feature that will encourage youth to display quotes from conference in their rooms or lockers. They can also be used to share the gospel.
Leaders may be interested in using the cards as handouts. They are available for download at youth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org, where ideas for using these quotes are also available.
