New Temple President to Serve in Preston, England

The First Presidency has called the following new temple president and matron. They will begin their service immediately.

Michael A. and Carol R. Rigby

Michael Alan Rigby, 66, Eastwood Ward, Nottingham England Stake, called as president of the Preston England Temple, succeeding President Joseph Leece, who recently passed away. President Rigby’s wife, Carol Linda Redisons Rigby, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Linda A. Leece. He is the second counselor in the Preston England Temple presidency and is a former stake president, bishop, and high councilor. Retired director and partner, Anarda Career Development, he was born in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England, to Cyril Clifford and Ellen Rigby.

Sister Rigby is an assistant to the matron at the Preston England Temple and is a former stake Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary presidency member, stake Public Affairs director, and ward Relief Society president. Born in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, England, to Kristaps and Gladys Mary Osborne Redisons.
