Online Enrollment at BYU–Idaho Higher Than Ever

Official spring semester enrollment totals for both on-campus and online students at Brigham Young University–Idaho show continued growth.
Statistics released for spring semester 2017 show a total campus enrollment of 14,934 students, an increase of 2.1 percent over last spring’s campus enrollment of 14,623. In addition to this number, 4,384 campus-based students are taking online courses or fulfilling internships away from campus. Online courses have allowed for enrollment growth without students having to be on campus.
This semester the campus student body consists of 7,416 male students and 7,518 female students, (49.7 percent and 50.3 percent respectively). The total number of married students is 3,787, comprising 25.4 percent of the total campus student population. On-campus students who have served full-time missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints number 8,613 (57.7 percent of the student body).
Enrollment in BYU–Idaho’s online courses also continues to grow rapidly, with the university serving more students off campus than on campus. The number of online students for spring semester 2017, including those with BYU Pathway, is 19,026, an increase of 10.9 percent over last spring’s comparable online student enrollment of 17,152.
