Aloha. My name is Lillie,
and I am from Hawaii. Hawaii is a beautiful place
with many friendly people. It's where the
Polynesian Cultural Center and the Laie temple are. My family is very
important to me, and that's why my
favorite Primary song is "Families Can Be
Together Forever." I like to go net fishing with my
dad, bake goodies with my mom, and visit my
grandfather [INAUDIBLE]. When we visit him, I get to
pick peanuts and see the pigs on his farm. My favorite subjects in
school are math and art, though I especially love art. I want to be an
artist when I grow up. I was born with cancer
in my right eye, so I can't see in that eye. My doctors told me
that the disease could make my left eye go blind. So I started learning
to read in Braille when I was three years old. Braille is raised dots
on a page that you can read with your fingers. Even though I am
blind in one eye, I am grateful that I can
see with my other eye. I know Heavenly
Father protects it. When I was five years old,
I finished my second round of medicine. I wanted to thank my doctors
and nurses for helping me. I gave them each a copy
of the Book of Mormon with my family's
testimonies in them. Whenever I read my scriptures,
I feel close to the Holy Ghost. My goal is to finish
reading the Book of Mormon by the time I am baptized. My name is Lillie, and
I am one in a million. [MUSIC PLAYING]
