These are amazing men who
hold the Church up. What could we do without you, right?
Reaching the rising generation,
Elder Neil L. Andersen, an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ,
has begun a nine-day ministry
in the Philippines.
You are the ones who hold the Church
of Jesus Christ together and help others have faith in Jesus
Christ and in His eternal plan.
I love just being among you, because there is something in your
spirits that enlarges our souls.
He spent time listening to and giving
guidance to Church leaders, general membership, and friends
of the Church, and to the youth and young single adults of The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Pressure is something we feel in life.
We feel pressure to get an education. Why? Because we have to eat. We have to have a house, and we have
to know how to do something. Let’s not call it pressure; let’s
call it high expectations.
My takeaway is the pressure that I feel, I should look at it as an expectation
for me to be better, and for me to make good
choices in my life. We're proud of you. You're doing a
great job. Thank you very much.
Sometimes it's hard since sometimes
it becomes personal. The question that I asked
Elder Andersen was, when people have a hard time when
it comes to forgiving others, what advice would you give them. In the forgiveness, you don’t let
it canker your own heart.
You try to get your mind
how the Savior thinks, and He had so much done against Him, yet when he was on the cross,
what did He say?
Father, forgive them, for they
know not what they do. And that’s what you have
to say. [Singing] What I got from that is that
it’s about how you are forgiving them in terms of being more
like Jesus Christ.
And I just tell you that no effort
to better know the Savior, no effort to serve Him,
to be His disciple,
to believe in Him and in
is restored gospel,
never will it be anything but a blessing
to your eternal lives.
Nice to see you. Stay tuned for more of Elder
Andersen’s ministry in the Philippines, which will finish with
him being joined by the renowned Tabernacle Choir at
Temple Square here in Manila.
