The Temple: Enter Here for Power

Tegucigalpa Honduras Temple

The great promise of temple worship is “that all people who shall enter upon the threshold of the Lord’s house may feel [His] power” (D&C 109:13). This is not a blessing reserved for a select few—it’s a promise to all people who worthily enter the house of the Lord. As you teach about temple worship this month, help your students understand that attending the temple and keeping temple covenants will give them the power to overcome life’s challenges. Testify that blessings are never denied to those who keep their covenants with God.

As you prepare to teach “Improving Temple Worship,” consider sharing the following videos as you discuss the importance of temple worthiness and frequent temple worship.

Invite Students to Share

Invite students to share on social media how the temple is a source of power for them. As part of your discussion, remind students that frequent temple worship will help them keep covenants and overcome life’s challenges. They can find a shareable image about the power of the temple on the LDS Institutes of Religion Facebook page. The image is also included below.

You and your students can continue this conversation outside of class by answering the following questions in social media posts:

  • What blessings have I received from frequent temple attendance?
  • What am I willing to sacrifice to attend the temple more frequently?

Include #LDSInstitute and #MyJourney in the posts.
