Scripture of the Day: “He doeth not anything save it be for the benefit of the world; for he loveth the world, even that he layeth down his own life that he may draw all men unto him. Wherefore, he commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.” (2 Nephi 26:24)
Did you catch that? The Savior doesn’t do anything except for the benefit of the world. In another scripture, the Lord says that helping us gain immortality and eternal life is His “work and [His] glory” (Moses 1:39)—in other words, His business and His pleasure. His job and His hobby. Helping us return is His entire focus!
That’s good to remember when you face hard times. The Savior will somehow make even our challenges work together for our good in the end. And He wants to help us get through it, one day at a time.
And don’t forget the last part of this verse: the Lord “commandeth none that they shall not partake of his salvation.” The gospel is for everyone. No one who wants it will be excluded from it!
